SharePoint vs Kentico CMS

Written by Wesley Darling

I'll go out on a limb here and say that Code A Site loves Kentico. Maybe even as much as we love SharePoint. We frequently recommend one of the two to our clients (find out which fits you best with our free quiz), so it's not easy for me to pit them head-to-head to decide which is the better intranet site. As with all of these comparisons, each intranet service has many strengths it brings to the table, but the strengths of these two platforms are so great...well, it'll be a tough decision, so you'll have to keep reading!

SharePoint vs Box

Written by Wesley Darling

A relatively new entrant into the intranet solution provider space, Box has been ruffling incumbent feathers with its successful transformation from being simply a cloud-based file-hosting solution, to being a fully-functional collaborative hub. Because it's been picking up so much steam, let's see how it holds up against intranet's Old Faithful, Microsoft SharePoint.

SharePoint vs Oracle WebCenter Content

Written by Wesley Darling

Another SharePoint Head-to-Head! This time, SharePoint is facing off against the extremely powerful content management system Oracle WebCenter Content! Interestingly, OWCC isn't so much an intranet service as it is a way for profession intranet developers to design intranets. Whereas you may use something like Igloo or BaseCamp as your own personal intranet site, OWCC allows users to create intranets, extranets, applications, and portals, all while giving users a an efficient and secure way to consume information and perform business processes. SharePoint also has these features, serving as both a service for hosting your own company's intranet site, and as a tool to create intranet sites for others (that's how Code A Site uses it!). Let's break down how they stack up!

SharePoint Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Solutions

Written by Wesley Darling

If you're not in the medical profession, chances are you might not be aware of the mountains of paperwork that go into running a health care system! Every single patient a doctor or physician sees, regardless of the procedure, requires an extensive amount of documentation for patient charts, updates, insurance, claims filing, patient statements, patient history...the list could go on forever. This may sound surprising, but doctors spend over two-thirds of their time doing paperwork! There has got to be a better system to not only file and keep track of all of these documents, but also to speed up the time spent creating it. Doctors should be busy saving lives, not wasting time filling out documents!

Choosing the Right Intranet Software

Written by Wesley Darling

Deciding on which intranet software is best for your organization can be hard! As you know, there are tons of intranet choices available, all with their own pros and cons. An intranet software might have all of the automation features your company needs for its business processes, but is out of your price range. Or, you might find an intranet service that is cost-effective and easy to set up, but allows for very little customization or development. It can be tough discerning what is most important for your organization, and which intranet software meets those requirements.
