Written by Louise Fahys

I can't count the number of times I've had clients call me because they accidentally shared all the documents from all their sites with a user that should Unauthorized Accessnot have that level of access. The permissions configuration in SharePoint can be very cumbersome if it isn't entirely understood. While Microsoft does provide a guide to help you with this, it's still quite confusing. We're going to shed some light on document sharing with SharePoint so you can avoid over sharing.

Written by Louise Fahys

N eed to know what types of backups are provided with Office 365?

  • Corruption: Exchange Online replication technology, there is a particular replicated version of your e-mail that is somewhat older than the “live” version of your e-mail, meaning that, in theory, you could go back to an older version of e-mail before the corruption occurred.

OneDrive For Business (ODFB) Best Practices

Written by Louise Fahys

Our clients have had many synch issues using OneDrive for Business (ODFB) so we have complied a list of best practices to help users avoid having problems.

A lot of OneDrive for Business synch issues revolve around credential conflicts. If you are using more than one browser the credentials get cached and OneDrive for Business gets confused.  If you use both OneDrive (OD) and OneDrive for Business (ODFB) on the same machine this can also cause confusion. If you use the same browser you must use a Private Browser Session to sign-in to OneDrive(OD) and another Private Session to sign-in to ODFB. Otherwise use a different browsers to sign-in to OD and ODFB. For example use Google Chrome to sign-in to OD and IE to sign-in to ODFB. Try to consistently use the same browser for each.
